Vinyl Sisters with the Outerglobe Femxle DJ Relay has the best vinyl Reggae out there played by a mix of tip top and upcoming womxn DJs.
Here's how we do:
7-7.30pm Warm Up Welcome Set from the host DJs Debbie Golt and Miss Feelgood
7.30-9.30pm 4 x 30 min sets from the DJ Relay Guests - who are womxn with fabulous Reggae vinyl collections who may not play out that often, may never have played before and/or do play out and want to try out new sets. We are on hand to help anyone who needs that - and find that even novices find their way very soon.
The Guest sets are always stunning across all Reggae styles and eras. Many come back for more another time and some have gone on to brilliant paid gigs and radio.
This month's guests are Zeena, DJ Sherinne , DJ Ezzy Rascal and Sistren Shirley
Then all the guests get to go head to head one for one
9.45pm - Midnight the host DJs take over right through into the night with their superb sets - alongside the mighty MAD-X our MC
Miss Feelgood - Shirley Slattery has held crucial residencies in Brixton over many years including at the legendary much missed Mango Landing. Her classic sets are rewinds every time
Debbie Golt began playing out with Rock Against Racism in the late 70s and has weekly and monthly radio shows on Resonance FM and Threads Radio. Roots is her signature style, going wider as well commanding rewinds too.
Both Miss Feelgood and Debbie Golt were founder members of Sisters of Reggae now going forward under the new Vinyl Sisters umbrella.
