SUNDAY 18/12 - 18th December Outerglobe's Debbie Golt broadcasts on 104.4FM London

SUNDAY 18/12/11  12.00 - 12.30    RADIO 1812 and 104.4FM London wide

Debbie Golt aka DJ Debbie presents a half hour special as part of the global Radio 1812 initiative joining 75
radio stations and organisations worldwide to celebrate UN International Migrants' Day. The show will be simulcast on and then archived on which is a fascinating, informative and proactive site.

Debbie is joined by Anna Nguyen and Greg Bartlett of Silent Shout Theatre discussing their play 'A Dream from a Bombshell' which weaves together the lives of 3 women seeking a better life in England after growing up in war torn Vietnam and Anna's own Vietnamese heritage. And by musician and activist Lilas La Fleur of Congolese heritage whose new CD - Girlfriend is released to support Women's Aid and Objectif Congo - giving support to women leaving violent situations in UK and raising awareness of women's situation in the Congo.

Pendragon Recordings fabulous CD Launch Flyer - Cd sold in aid of Kids Company

Outerglobe artists MOSI CONDE and ASIF GILLANI - FUSING NAKED BEATS contributed to fabulous tracks on the  Pendragon Recordings in aid of Kids Company

Mosi Conde played at the launch - giving wonderful Kora interpretations to Natalie of Kids Company's track alongside Drastick of K Sounds "Darkness to Light"

Featuring Bumi Thomas  and Asheber & The Afrikan Revolution with Soundz by DJ Freestyle (Colourful) and DJ Nimz.
The Awards will be presented by journalist/ broadcaster Henri Bonsu (Colourful). The event is to continue to raise awareness of the situation in East Africa where famine still rages and to raise funds for UNICEF, in association with Carnival Village and Colourful

Born in Glasgow, Scotland and based in LondonBumi Thomas is a dynamic contemporary African, acoustic Jazz Folk soul singer. whose style is inspired by her multicultural heritage. Her music explores identity, sensuality, spirituality, retrospective and multi-culturalism.  It represents the journey of a modern African creative  woman. Bumi`s past performances have been breathtaking as she is not afraid to take risks and gives her all as any of you who saw her at Mama Africa in March will attest! 
The Afrikan Revolution is a super group led by multi-talented musician Niles ‘Asheber’ Hailstones.  
This phenomenal ensemble features many of the most innovative and influential musicians out of the UK grassroots scene.
The band officially formed in 2007, they play as if they have spent a lifetime together. Whenever this unit gathers to celebrate creativity and upliftment, infinite musical possibilities always arise to surprise and create enjoyment, feeding the audience with their retinue of musical delights.
