This weekend (26th to 27th of June) Your Canal Boat CIC will be holding its first manifestation of Brigadoon, a musical picnic on board the widebeam, the Molly Anna, under a canopy to protect audience members from the elements. The Molly Anna is currently moored in Mary Seacole Gardens, Scrubs Lane Bridge, London NW10 6QE .
It starts with yoga and live gongs with David Naylor (image), independent acoustic music from Caleb Kunle (2017 NME emerging artist, image), Lily Lyons and many more. Each session lasts an hour and is limited to 12 people on board.
There will be panel discussions on the history of the area from John Cridland (Chairman of Transport for North) and Henry Vivian (Kensal Green Cemetery) the legacy of Mary Seacole in the context of today's Black Lives Matter movement from actor Cleo Sylvestre, Joyce Fraser (founder of Black Heroes Foundation) and Trevor Sterling (Partner at Moore Barlow LLP)
Each evening ends with an acoustic jam session featuring artists from the day.
