YAABA FUNK 's new album 'MY VOTE DEY COUNT' (distributed by Sterns) is garnering fearsome reviews - very well deserved. It is a fabulous new direction bringing studio alchemy into the live mix. Beautifully the album is dedicated to the memory of Maya - my lovely younger daughter who died last year .... and who loved Yaaba Funk's music and shows.
2013 saw Yaaba Funk busy with International and UK festivals and events including the Venice Biennale and Africa OYE! A high point was recording and producing their new album.
